Hello and Welcome to Hansel House Design. Our name comes from the noun “Hansel” meaning,  a gift given to mark an acquisition or the start of an enterprise, supposedly to bring good luck. We had just built our new home and it seemed a very fitting name.

I am a secondary school Art teacher who studied in the National College of Art & Design, Dublin. who love all things art, design as well as making something new out of something old. When we were building our new home we wanted to mix old and new so decided to upcycle a lot of old pieces of furniture. Hoping to create that champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget.
